Who we are

We believe no one is beyond the reach of compassion

Simuyi Foundation is a new charity in Zambia, founded on a single conviction — that humanity comes first. We’re just beginning to walk beside vulnerable children and cancer patients across Lusaka, turning that belief into school fees paid, treatment reached, and children kept safe.

Our story

Born from a neighbourhood, built for a nation

It started with a few neighbours in Lusaka who could no longer look away — pooling what little they had to keep one girl in school and one mother in treatment. That small beginning became Simuyi Foundation: a young, registered charity in Zambia, built to grow that circle of care across the city.

We’re new, but our conviction isn’t. We know the children by name. We sit with patients in waiting rooms. And we believe, from day one, that dignity is not a luxury — it is the whole point.

What drives us

Mission, vision & the values we live by

Our mission

To protect and empower vulnerable children and cancer patients in Zambia — with practical support delivered in person and with dignity.

Our vision

A Lusaka where every girl finishes school, every patient reaches treatment, and no orphaned child grows up without a family to belong to.

Our values

Dignity over pity. Transparency over promises. Presence over distance. We name the cost, the need and the result — every time.

Our roadmap

What we're building — with you

We begin

Founded in Lusaka by neighbours who refused to look away from children and patients in need.

Three causes

We commit to doing three things well — girl child empowerment, cancer treatment support, and orphan care.

On the ground

A local team delivers help directly and in person, with every kwacha tracked and accounted for.

With you

This is where you come in. Founding donors and volunteers will shape who we reach first.

The people

Faces you'll meet along the way

A small, dedicated founding team in Lusaka — and a growing circle of volunteers giving their weekends to this work.
